Mourning and Celebrating Life: After – Funeral

FuneralFuneral and Life Celebrations

We are sorry for your loss.

[tweet_box design=”default” float=”none”]Losing a loved one is very difficult, and often the planning phase is hard.[/tweet_box] After the funeral, families gather together with food to mourn the loss of a loved one,.  Many families of loved ones who have passed away, choose to call this gathering a “Celebration of Life”.  No matter how you look at it, this gathering is very important to the memory of your loved one.

When you are the planning person for a funeral, and you begin to look for space to meet with the family after the event, it’s important that you have ample space to meet. Meeting in the home of the person who has passed away, is the traditional method. Many people are now choosing to hold their celebration of life meetings in neutral locations.

Your loss is hard enough.

Choosing to have your after funeral or meeting to celebrate the life of your family or friend, causes great anxiety for you. You may feel that planning is even too hard. Perhaps you just can’t deal with the whole situation. At The Beacon Center, we have the space for you and our friendly staff is always ready to assist you in creating the right ambiance and environment for your situation.

What is a “Celebration of Life Service” after the Funeral?

When a loved one passes away, we are accustomed to a traditional funeral, where the guests are sad and grieving. A “Celebration of Life” is just that. Family members decide to have a party. This party is held with the intention of remembering the loved one just as they were on earth. Knowing their desires before their passing, give you a good idea of where to start.

Many choose to have party favors, cakes, and cards with the picture of the loved one. Some choose to have music and dancing. Others may want to just have a small meal and conversation. You are in charge, but there are several options. Just remember that this too will pass.

Again, we are so sorry for your loss and are here to help. Be sure to book a tour of our facility now, before anyone ever passes away. Or, if you need space quickly, we are always here.
