Kindergarten Graduation – Preparing For The Future

Kindergarten Graduation PhotoKindergarten Graduation To Set The Stage

Kindergarten Graduation can set the stage for a love of school. When our kids had their first celebration like this they were clueless, obviously. They knew they were about to go to first grade and their teacher kept talking about diplomas. Both of them knew there was some event they had to go to and their only concern was when it would be over so they could play and eat the cupcakes they would have in the back of the room. They could not know this Kindergarten Graduation celebration was just the first event of many they could look forward to. However, what happens when you home school or your child goes to some other non-traditional school choice and there is no Kindergarten Graduation?

As Simple & Pure As A Kindergarten Graduation

A Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony doesn’t need to be lavish. It doesn’t need to be terribly long.  Every child has skills, abilities, and potential that need to be celebrated and encouraged. That should be the focus of the event and it definitely needs to be an event with as many people present as possible. Children need to know that succeeding in school is special and something to strive for. So, celebrate and make a big deal of it. It is about setting a foundation of loving to learn and eagerness to succeed. Those should be the true focus of a Kindergarten Graduation. So your school or home isn’t able to host a Kindergarten Graduation, hold one yourself! This goes for ANY education-related events.  Acknowledge success.

Whatever alternative educational situation you are in,  nothing stops a group of parents from renting a venue, printing some certificates and bringing some cake and juice boxes. It doesn’t have to be fancy or a long event. As long as the venue has room, is decorated cheerily and safe for kids the possibilities are endless. With several parents pitching in the venue rental cost and all the supplies you need will be very affordable. [tweet_box design=”default” float=”right” width=”40%”] Kindergarten Graduation can set the stage for a love of school.[/tweet_box]
