Venue Rentals Have Crashed
The world of venue rentals & parties is in turmoil. These are not normal times. The Corona Virus is at the top of every single person’s agenda in the US. In fact, the World. It has affected every walk and stream of our lives, none more so than the meeting and party industry. Every hotel, meeting space, restaurant and banquet facility in the world is on lockdown. Basically, we have all been told we are out of business by various levels of government. How has this emergency affected YOUR business? Besides a lack of revenue, you are likely faced with trying to keep staff working, procuring supplies and obviously, trying to stay safe yourselves. How long any of us can keep juggling the balls without dropping them is another story altogether.
How Long Will They Stay Away?
When this all ends and it WILL end, what will the venue rentals landscape look like? Will your business still be standing to pick up the pieces? Every business owner in the world, regardless of size have that thought firmly planted in the back of their minds. We can plan. We can prepare. But…we can’t read the future. We at The Beacon Center are very hopeful that our customers will return. We know it will take a while to reach our previous volume. We also recognize that our previous volume may not return. All of us in this industry must recognize that. Our livelihoods are based on interaction with others. What that will look like in the future is anyone’s guess. Venue Rentals Will Return
People are resilient. We like to gather, it’s in our DNA. I predict it will be a slow climb back up for venue rentals, but people will return. Our society NEEDS personal interaction. Meetings, conferences, personal parties, and events will return. Health Safety will become much more of an issue for us and that is probably what we should focus on while we wait to re-open our doors. Examine what ways you can increase your cleaning regimen. Whether long term limits on the number of people gathering will remain. What financial assistance or business plans can help us recover. The number of questions far outstrips the answers currently available. Now is not the time to sit back and wait. It is time to watch, learn and plan for the future of your business.
The Beacon Center Will Be Here To Help
We are committed to re-opening and doing so in a safe manner. Our facility is not nearly as large as most and therefore will be well suited for limits on gathering sizes. In addition, our facility is easily cleaned and disinfected. We are already looking for improvements in our processes and materials that will help keep attendees safer in the future. When this crisis passes, rest assured we plan to be there for your employee training, meeting and other venue rental needs. Especially baby showers, in 7-8 months we expect a big demand.
